During Q3 (July-September 2017) there were more than four times as many CAP completions among Alliance-affiliated factories as there were in Q1 or Q2, further demonstrating that the Alliance is on pace to complete remediation across its affiliated factories in 2018. September also marked the first month this year in which zero factories were suspended for failure to make remediation progress.
"Efforts to fortify safety within our factories are right on track, and the factories remaining in our network are working to meet our strict safety requirements," Amb. Moriarty said. "Our commitment to Bangladesh is stronger than ever, and we are working with key organizations in Dhaka now on a transition plan that will enable the continuation of this important work in Bangladesh’s garment industry over the long term."
